Refund Policy

Not final. Every highlighted field on this page is still a placeholder. Fill in the company details in the admin panel, and have this text reviewed by counsel, before ClarityTV takes live payments.
This policy explains when ClarityTV refunds money, how to ask for a refund, and how long it takes. It is part of our Terms of Service.
The short version
You are charged for the minutes you actually talk. If something on our side went wrong — a dropped call, a double charge, a billing error — tell us and we will put it right. What we do not refund is a reading you received and simply did not enjoy, because a reading is entertainment and its content is not something we can guarantee.
Unused balance
Balance you have added but not spent stays on your number and does not expire while your account is open. If you would like it back, write to us at [SUPPORT EMAIL] from the email or phone number on the account within one hundred and eighty (180) days of the top-up and we will refund the unused portion to the original payment method.
We may decline a refund of unused balance if the account shows signs of fraud, chargeback abuse, or use by someone under 18.
When we refund automatically
- Dropped or failed calls. If a call fails to connect, or drops in the first sixty seconds for a technical reason on our side, the charge is reversed to your balance automatically. You do not need to ask.
- Over-billing. After every call we compare what we charged against the duration our telephony provider reports. If we charged for more time than you were connected, the difference goes straight back onto your balance.
- Duplicate top-ups. If the same top-up is charged to your card twice, we refund the duplicate to the card.
When you should ask us
Please contact us within thirty (30) days of the charge if:
- you were billed for a call you did not place;
- the call quality made the reading unusable — silence, heavy distortion, or the line cutting in and out;
- a reader ended the call early without cause;
- you believe someone used your payment method without your permission.
Tell us the phone number on the account, the date and rough time of the call, and what happened. We answer refund requests within five (5) business days.
What we do not refund
- readings you received in full, because you disagreed with what the reader told you or the reading did not come true — readings are for entertainment and no outcome is promised;
- time spent on a call after you were told your balance was running low;
- charges older than one hundred and eighty (180) days;
- accounts closed for abuse, fraud, or breach of our Terms of Service.
How refunds are paid
Refunds go back to the payment method used for the top-up. Depending on your bank, a card refund usually appears within five to ten business days after we issue it. Where a refund to the original method is not possible, we will credit your ClarityTV balance instead and tell you that we have done so.
Chargebacks
If you think a charge is wrong, please come to us first — it is faster than a bank dispute and we can usually fix it the same day. Filing a chargeback without contacting us may result in the account being suspended while the dispute is open. We keep call records and billing logs and will provide them to your bank when a dispute is raised.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The version that applies to a charge is the one published on the day the charge was made.
